I was so unlikely to meet Mr Right in my everyday life I looked on the Internet at some dating sites. On one of the dating sites I wanted to find a man between 30 and 40 years old with good looks and a lovely personality.
On the first of the dating sites I joined I wrote my profile and said I was seeking a man with a wonderful personality and gorgeous looks. I downloaded some sexy looking photos of myself. On the second of the dating sites I said I was looking for my soul mate and he would be handsome, kind and intelligent. I had much fun on the third dating site not posting much information about me apart from a photo.
I got loads of messages from interested guys. I made a list of the ones I thought were suitable dating material. I liked the sound of Chris but he was over the age range I had specified. I decided that I wouldn't hold his age against him. So I added him to my list. I sent messages back to the five guys: Ashley, James, Robbie, Stefan and Wally. I arranged to meet all five of them on a different day of the working week.
On Monday I met up with Ashley and he got many points because he had brought me a box of chocolates. He had dark brown hair and blue eyes. He was interested in cars, trains, planes, dogs, football and cinema. He took me for a meal at a friendly little cafe. At the end of our date he kissed my lips and said he really liked me.
On Tuesday I went out with James. He arrived ten minutes late due the road traffic. He had blond hair and blue eyes. He was interested in running, athletics, swimming and sailing. He took me out to a place that sold pizzas. At the end of our date he rushed off at speed.
On Wednesday I didn't meet up with Wally because he had to cancel. I rang up Ashley and asked if he wanted to meet up again. He said that he couldn't wait so how about that evening. I jumped at the chance. I met up with him for a walk along the river. It was just beginning to get dark and lights came on. He asked me to sit down on a bench and then he gave me a small black velvet box. Inside was a beautiful necklace inside it and there was a note. It said " Be my girlfriend". So of course I accepted. Ashley became my loving partner. We are now saving up to get married.
